Past Years

The LIU Post Noyce program is partnering with the South Huntington and Glen Cove City school districts to offer STEM Teaching Seminars, providing Noyce Scholars with the opportunity to interact with and learn from current practicing teachers. Most sessions will be led by a public school teacher and will take place at their school. While seminars will often have a strong mathematical focus, they will still be relevant to teachers in other STEM disciplines (and some sessions will apply to all current/future educators). Seminars are open to students and teachers outside the Noyce program, and we especially encourage Post freshmen and sophomores to attend. Teachers in local school districts are encouraged to participate and will receive continuing education (CTLE) credits free-of-charge for attending; stipends will be given to teachers who organize and lead seminars. For more information and/or if you plan to attend a session, please email Dr. Redden at Corbett.Redden@liu.edu.

Each seminar will last approximately 75-90 minutes.
